My Favorite Things!

Once again… I’m sharing a few of my favorite things!  When it comes to holiday gift giving, I support the “one for you”, “one for me” approach.  Anyone else guilty of this?  Either way, I hope this list provides you with some great gift ideas.

1.    Dry Farm Wine*

If you love wine, but can’t handle the hangover, sleep disruption, and other not so pleasant side effects then it is time to order some Dry Farm Wines*.  Their wines come from all over the world and are from mostly family farms/artisans that have committed to natural farming and winemaking practices.  They are lab tested to be sugar-free (most wines are high in sugar- news to me!), dry farmed (no irrigation), free of processed fining and clarifying agents, and all other additives. Most importantly, the alcohol level is at or below what is stated on the label and does not exceed 12.5%, as most other wines can be up to 24% despite their labels.

2.    Sun Basket*

We all try to eat healthy, but sometimes we just don’t have the time to plan, shop, and prepare.  It just happens. But before you reach the phone for carry out or hit the junk food, think Sun Basket.  They are a meal delivery company with easy, organic, and sustainable ingredients. They even have Paleo, Lean & Clean, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian and family-sized options.  It’s been a life changer for me.  It’s also helpful if you feel as though you are in a rut with your meals, eating the same dishes over and over again.

3.    UPOWEX Resistance Bands Set*

This is the answer to keeping up your fitness routine while you are busy, traveling, or just can’t get to the gym.  This compact set is extremely portable and is suitable for any fitness level.  It includes 5 Stackable Exercise Bands with Carry Bag, Door Anchor Attachment, Leg Ankle Straps & Bonus eBook.  It’s like having your own personal home (wherever that is!) gym. Perfect for maintaining your strength training and stretching while on the go.  This is a favorite of boaters, RVer’s, and others who are on the move.

4.    Meal Planning for Busy People

Meal planning is a game changer for anyone wanting to stay healthy and it’s tough to always go it alone.  We all tend to get in “food ruts”, eating the same things repeatedly and wondering why we just can’t drop those pounds or are experiencing low energy levels.  This program is individualized to match your tastes, goals, sensitivities, available time for meal prep, and lots more.  After completing a meal planning assessment, you will receive a meal plan for the duration of your choice (7-Days, 14-Days, etc.), complete with a guide and complete shopping list.  Contact me for more details –

5.    Instant Pot*

Pressure cooking is at least twice as fast as conventional cooking. It is one of the healthiest methods of cooking because it preserves 90-95% of the vitamins found in foods. It is a great addition to your kitchen (or as a gift!) that will save you time, while also allowing you to still eat healthy.  Here are some estimated cooking times: Whole Chicken- 25 minutes, Steel Cut Oats- 3 minutes, Brown Rice- 25 minutes, 3lbs Beef Roast with Potatoes and Carrots- 45 minutes. Amazing!

6.    “Clean and Lean”

The Fitness Studio of Annapolis and Peggy Greenwell, Certified Health Coach have teamed up to offer you a unique program of individualized fitness training, meal planning. Our 6-Week Clean and Lean Program is a 1-on-1 weight loss program that combines fitness and strength training with eating a “clean” diet. And… the best part is that it’s all individualized and based on your needs, interests, and heath goals. This is not a “canned” program that is geared toward serving a “group” of people, all with different needs and interests.  We give you individualized attention and support you need to get the results you have been wanting for a very long time.

If you are looking for a new kitchen or galley gadget, this one’s for you! It’s especially useful in a tiny kitchen because of its size.  You can fry eggs, make toast, grill fish, make panini’s, tortillas or anything that needs grilling or griddling.  It heats up fast, provides even cooking and steady temps. Clean up is also easy with removable, nonstick grill/griddle plates.

And last, but certainty not least…

8.     Squatty Potty*

I know some of you are already hooked and are ready to add them to your list of gift ideas for those who have everything. They really work.  It turns out that studies show the natural squat position (which these stools help to simulate) are beneficial for faster and more effective elimination.  If you need more details, check out this fun video…
